Community & Family Support Services

This initiative began in the Fall of 2015. Its programs and activities give parents and family members of the community the opportunity to take advantage of CSDN’s program offerings to help Evangelize and Transform families and communities. CSDN’s Community and Family Support Services will be offered in partnership with local churches, nonprofit organizations, businesses, Local/State/Federal government agencies and organized into the following efforts:

  • Education Programs and Initiatives will address the adult literacy and educational deficiencies and needs as well as technology education initiatives.
  • Recreation and Fellowship Programs and Initiatives provides opportunities for fun, recreation, and fellowship in order to develop unity and community .
  • Community Benevolence Program will provide the residents of theses underserved communities to establish a self-help benevolence fund where its participants contribute weekly contributions to the fund.
  • Family Empowerment and Life Skills/Restoration Programs and Initiatives will offer classes, workshops. & activities that will equip families with the skills, tools, and knowledge necessary to improve their lifestyle and strengthen the family.
  • Employment/Job Seekers Classes and Networking Initiatives will help adults & teenagers develop skills and work ethics that will lead to gainful employment opportunities and advancement as well as improved financial stability .

The Community and Family Support Services will also address pressing family issues such as Moral/Spiritual/Physical Health & Wellness, Housing, Food & Clothing. These issues often prevent individuals from taking advantage of life-changing opportunities that can impact their welfare. As such, these basic issues must be addressed before people can move beyond their present circumstances to act on decisions that will improve their futures.
